I asked MD to dictate and email to Brian tonight as I was finishing a brief email about our day. Here is what MD needed to tell his daddy.
Daddy,
Come home. Wash the dishes. I want you to ride bikes with me. Walk the dog with me and mommy. I have Optimus Prime pajamas. Drink water with me. I want you to go on a hike with me. I want to watch shows with you. I want to go to the water park with you. I want to dance with you. I want to play swords with you daddy. I want to play ball with you. I don't want to tell you what I have been doing. I want to have Christmas with you. Te Amo, I love you.
It is so simple with the little ones.. They just miss their parents. The small things that sometimes we overlook like drinking a glass of water with the parent. Playing ball or dancing. His little letters make me slow down a bit and remember why I spend so much time with him while Brian is away. He already misses one parent.

I just read back over what MD wanted me to write to Brian and I just can't seem to shake the "Wash the dishes." Is that a subtle, oh wait.. not so subtle hint to Brian that the dishes are not getting washed as often as they do when he is home.. That kiddo just told on me.. :)
Yah, that's what I thought too. "oh, there must be dirty dishes in the sink." Kids have no filters.
Hmmm,
I like to think that MD sees you washing those dishes and would love to see Daddy there giving Mommy a break or even by your side rinsing cuz MD isn't tall enough yet...Yep, out of the mouth of babes comes the simple truths of light...He knows what Mommy needs.
