View of Kane’ohe Bay from Trail Loop
Friendship Garden is a cute little Garden tucked back off of Kokokahi Place in Kane’ohe. TheGarden was created in the 1920s by Rev. Theodore Richards an his wife Mary. It was Hawai’i's first multi-racial community. Kokokahi means “of one blood”. Neighborhood volunteers maintain the garden today. Check out their website, http://www.friendshipgarden.org/
The garden has a modest .6 mile trail loop which opens to a beautiful view of Kane’ohe Bay. This hike is perfect for toddlers and children. Short and sweet. There is enough uphill climb to get them tired out and enough flat
hiking to keep them going. Oh and dogs are welcome too.
